Plant Production Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Plant Production Controller to join our Operations Systems Team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to not only manage production schedules but also help define the future of production scheduling at F&P Healthcare. Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Operational Excellence teams, you will play a key role in developing and implementing modern scheduling practices that improve delivery performance, production flow, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.

As part of this journey, you will lead the design and deployment of new scheduling systems, processes, and tools, applying lean manufacturing principles and systems thinking to help shape a world-class manufacturing operation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Production Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and optimise production schedules to meet customer demand and service level targets.
• Balance production priorities, capacity constraints, material availability, and inventory requirements.
• Monitor schedule adherence and proactively identify and address production risks.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to ensure production plans remain achievable.
• Manage and communicate schedule changes in response to changing business requirements.

• Build the Future of Scheduling

• Help define and implement the next generation of production scheduling at FPH.
• Develop and embed scheduling processes, standards, governance, and ways of working that support operational excellence.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles such as production levelling, flow, pull systems, and continuous improvement to improve manufacturing performance.
• Partner with stakeholders across manufacturing and supply chain functions to identify opportunities and deliver improvements.
• Contribute to the development of planning and scheduling capabilities, tools, and systems, including ERP and digital solutions.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience with production planning, S&OP, inventory management, or capacity planning.
• Experience implementing process improvements, systems, or operational change initiatives.
• Experience in production scheduling, production planning, supply chain planning, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar manufacturing planning systems.
• Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
