Technical Writer
About the Role
In this role, you will support the Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Department by consolidating and updating technical engineering documentation, managing Engineering Change Documentation, supporting Continuous Improvement projects, and providing general support to the team.
Your willingness to learn the manufacturing process by collaborating with engineering colleagues and reviewing technical materials is important. This will help you become familiar with our product technologies, methods, and operating procedures. Your key objective is to translate this information into a documentation system that meets our business needs.
About you
You hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant technical engineering field and bring strong attention to details, effective relationship building skills, and the ability to self-manage your workload effectively. You have a customer service-oriented mindset, and ideally 1-3 years of experience in documentation writing, planning, project coordination, or customer‑focused roles within a manufacturing or similar environment.
You have a solid understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles, along with a grasp of general factory manufacturing equipment and assembly processes. This technical awareness helps you engage confidently with engineering, production, and document users.
Your computer skills are excellent, and you can understand and document technical information in English at an exceptional level. You have experience editing, amending, and reviewing documents, publications, and files, and are comfortable working with our ERM subject matter experts and operations stakeholders to establish technical specifications and determine publication material.
You also have experience selecting photos, sketches, binding methods, and other visual or structural elements, and can integrate technology information, operating procedures, and production sequences into clear, accurate documentation.
We are building a team that values your ideas and collaboration. To thrive here, you’ll proactively seek out the right people, ask the right questions, and contribute meaningfully to improving how we work.
This is a great opportunity to try something new.
