Systems Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Systems Specialist to join our ICT Strategy & Planning team delivering and supporting digital planning and project management tools used by the business.

  

About the role: 

This is a role that will see you working with Planning and Portfolio Management cloud solutions, supporting, and enhancing them to meet operational and cyber standards. Our successful applicant will need a well-rounded technical skill set and the ability to flourish within a team driven environment, to ensure the service to our internal customers is delivered to the highest standards.  

 

As part of this role, you will:

  • Investigate and carry out technical assessments on new applications and integrations.
  • Assist with system design and testing, including change management activities.
  • Support the continued operation and maintenance of systems.
  • Assisting with testing and technical oversight of cloud update cycles.
  • Ability to produce and peer review technical documentation that aligns with best-practice.
  • Building and supporting integrations between relevant systems.
  • Willingness to proactively collaborate with your peers across ICT.  

  

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years' experience implementing and/or supporting COTS solutions.
  • 3+ years working directly with business/customers to understand business needs and applying technology solutions to those requirements.
  • Understanding of system development lifecycle(s) (SDLC) and processes.
  • Experience (preferred) with Planview tools such as Planview Portfolios, AgilePlace and ProjectPlace.
  • Experience (preferred) in the use of PowerBI including report building.
  • Familiar with risk management processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
