Senior Systems Specialist - PPM Platforms

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Specialist to join our Strategy & Planning team Systems, responsible for the delivery, optimisation, and ongoing governance of Portfolio and Project management tools used across the business. 

 

  • Experience with Planview tools (Planview Portfolios, AgilePlace, and ProjectPlace) is preferred, but not essential 
  • Candidates with strong planning and portfolio management experience will be considered 
  • Proven capability in Power BI (including integrations and report development) preferred 
  • Strong Technical background in platform configuration, testing and integration essential 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential 

 

About the role:  

This role focuses on working with Planning and Portfolio Management cloud solutions, with responsibility for their delivery, optimisation, and ongoing alignment to operational and cyber security standards. The successful candidate will bring a well-rounded technical skill set and be comfortable operating in a collaborative, team-driven environment, ensuring a high-quality and reliable service is delivered to internal customers. 

 

As part of this role, you will: 

  • Lead technical assessments of new applications and integrations, providing clear recommendations aligned to enterprise standards 
  • Contribute to solution design, testing, and change management, ensuring outcomes are robust, scalable, and aligned to business needs 
  • Own the ongoing operation, performance, and continuous improvement of supported systems 
  • Provide technical oversight of cloud update cycles, ensuring appropriate validation and minimal business disruption 
  • Produce and peer review high‑quality technical documentation aligned to best practice and governance standards 
  • Design, build, and support integrations across relevant platforms and systems 
  • Collaborate proactively with ICT peers and stakeholders to drive alignment, consistency, and improved ways of working 

   

Skills and Experience 

  • 5+ years’ experience implementing and/or supporting COTS solutions 
  • Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions 
  • Strong understanding of system development lifecycles (SDLC) and associated processes 
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and governance practices, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across systems, integrations, and change activities 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage across technical and business audiences 
  • Experience with Power BI, including integrations and report development.
  • Experience with Planview tools (Planview Portfolios, AgilePlace, and ProjectPlace) is preferred
