Senior Quality Systems Engineer - Manufacturing

About the Role

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy, collaborating with the operations and development teams to provide technical and quality engineering support. Your responsibilities will include identifying and investigating production issues and developing corrective actions in conjunction with operations teams to ensure product quality is achieved. You will also design and implement changes to the Quality Management System (QMS) to support the continuous improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

 

Our team is looking to welcome and benefit from an individual with experience of the manufacturing environment, who has a strong knowledge of validating test methods and processes, is an expert in corrective and preventative action and has skills in statistical analysis and problem solving.

 

Offering involvement across every function of the business and exposure to a variety of products and manufacturing processes, this full-time position at our Auckland site will help you develop a strong understanding of the broader business and sets the stage for an exciting array of career advancement options within F&P.

 


Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience in the medical device industry.
  • A tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering.
  • An understanding of FDA and international regulations. 
  • Experience with process and test method validation activities.
  • Working knowledge of statistics and process improvement tools.
  • Six Sigma or CQE certification is preferable.

 

You will also have: 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to share complex ideas, positively influence, negotiate, and challenge with tact and diplomacy. 
  • Strong problem-solving ability, (both through your own independent thinking and collaboration across the business) and a strong resilience when navigating problems.
  • An ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position (40-hour week) with a salary range of $90,000 -$115,000. The role is based in our Auckland office in Highbrook Drive in East Tamaki.
