Senior Engineer - Surgery

Come join the Surgery Business group, within Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and play a crucial role in a team with a startup business mindset. This group is focused on developing Surgery products that will transform patient outcomes and jointly benefit product users in the operating theatre. 

 

About the role 

This role is responsible for sustaining the current products sold in the market. You will be part of multidisciplinary team responsible for bedding in new products and processes, and who are mindful of setting an approach that reinforces success for a business with some unique challenges. You will be leading design changes and overseeing manufacturing, ultimately ensuring products are delivered into the hands of customers.  

 

About you 

We are looking for someone who; 

  • Has a degree in engineering or related field 

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing 

  • Lead and participate in the design control process from concept through to manufacturing  

  • Utilize expertise in QMS throughout all phases of product development and manufacturing 

  • Independently manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and achieving project milestones 

  • Adapt to changing business needs and priorities while maintaining focus on project objectives 

  • Provide strong leadership in resolving complex technical and operations challenges 

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to deliver the right outcomes for the business
