About the role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Group Services Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial insights that drive business success.
A key component of this role will be to partner with our Information & Communication Technology (ICT) team. You’ll work closely with ICT stakeholders bringing financial expertise to support forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis – a critical role in enabling informed decision-making across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and delivery monthly variance analysis and commentary to support performance reviews
- Manage ICT asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Partner with ICT leadership to align financial planning with business strategy, including the delivery of budgeting and forecasting for ICT
- Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Design, develop and implement new processes, procedures and reports to ensure processes meet financial standards, and business needs
- Support preparation of NZ financial management reporting and external audits, including support for the payment service function and compliance with tax regulations and financial standards
Skills & Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- CA qualified or equivalent.
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Proficient in SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to self-manage
- Experience in financial planning and business partnering
- A stable, reliable team player with a strong technical focus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to challenge assumptions and influence strategic decisions
