The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Group Services Finance team with a focus on business partnering with our Information & Communication Technology (ICT) team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical accounting expertise with strategic insight, helping shape financial decisions that support technology initiatives across the business.
What You’ll Do
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to the ICT leadership team, providing insights and analysis to drive informed decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for ICT projects and operational spend.
• Monitor and report on ICT performance against financial targets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Maintain the integrity of ICT asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Design, develop and implement new processes, procedures and reports to ensure processes meet financial standards, and business needs.
• Provide guidance and support to graduate and assistant accountants.
• Support preparation of NZ financial management reporting and external audits, including support for the payment service function and compliance with tax regulations and financial standards
What We’re Looking For
• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience accounting or finance roles.
• Proven ability to partner with non-financial stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience partnering with ICT is a big plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and with experience in SAP preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
