About the role
We have a new opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our highly successful team as a Sales Representative (internal job title, Product Specialist). You will have the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with our research and development teams and drive the adoption of Fisher & Paykel surgical technology in the theatre environment.
Key responsibilities:

Work closely with our Surgical R&D Product Team of engineers, marketers and clinical researchers to facilitate clinician input into product development and R&D.

Conduct visits to hospitals and build relationships with prospective customers to introduce and grow the use of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare products and therapy approaches and their benefits.

Work with the Sales Manager to discuss current market state, future potential and devise a plan to execute on opportunities.

Provide education to surgical and theatre staff to improve care and outcomes for patients.

Liaise with hospital regulatory, compliance and technical departments, purchasing, clinicians and other key decision makers to ensure all compliance and purchasing requirements are met.

Provide installation support, training, post sales education, trouble shooting and complaint resolution to promote early identification of customer issues, ensure correct use of equipment and ensure customer satisfaction.
This role is based at our Global Head Office in East Tamaki but covers a territory that spans the North and South Island and will require significant national travel.
About you
We are looking for an individual who is curious, persistent and team oriented. Whether you come from a medical, science, business, or other background, the ability to be resilient and adapt your approach based on market learnings and customer feedback will be essential to your success in this role.
Other key skills and experience we are looking for:

An understanding or experience working in a clinical or surgical setting would be advantageous but not essential.

Articulate and engaging presentation skills with a proven ability to learn and apply complex concepts and communicate these to a variety of audiences.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, comfortable seeking guidance or assistance when faced with challenges.

Highly organised, self-motivated and proactive with a drive to succeed and make a difference.
