About the role
As a Quality Engineer you will enjoy a high level of autonomy, collaborating with the manufacturing and design teams to provide technical and quality engineering support. Your responsibilities will include managing the implementation of our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure quality product and process design with effective design transfer to manufacturing, as well as guiding development opportunities through understanding manufacturing processes and applying quality tools to improve performance. Our team is looking to welcome and benefit from an individual with experience of the manufacturing environment, who has a strong knowledge of validating test methods and processes, is an expert in corrective and preventative action and has skills in statistical analysis and problem solving. To be successful in this hands on position of positive influence, you will need to be a strong collaborative team player, who is able to understand your customer's objectives and enable their pathway to success.
Skills and Experience
In addition to what is described above, you will have
- Science or engineering tertiary degree
- Minimum 3 years related experience in the medical device industry
- Understanding of FDA and international regulations
- Ideally some experience in Lean 6-Sigma
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organisation

This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hour week) with a salary range of $80,000 - $105,000. The role is based in our Auckland office in Highbrook Drive in East Tamaki.
