Product Development Engineer - Airvo New Platforms (Mechanical)
Care to make a difference.
Join a team of good people doing good work with intent. People like you, who care to make a difference.
Our story began more than 50 years ago, when one doctor and two engineers designed a better way to care. Today, we are a thriving global business, and our products, used in acute and chronic respiratory care, surgery and the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, make a difference to millions of patients every year.
About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented and growing team responsible for shaping the future of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare's Airvo platform.
As one of the company's most technically sophisticated product platforms, Airvo plays a vital role in respiratory care around the world. As part of the Airvo New Platforms team, you'll help drive its continued evolution, tackling complex engineering challenges and contributing to technologies that have the potential to shape the future of respiratory care.

You'll collaborate with experts from across the business and beyond to deliver solutions that make a meaningful difference to patient care.
About you
You are an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex problems and creating direction in areas of ambiguity. You'll be equally comfortable leading development projects, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and supporting others to achieve great outcomes.
You will also have:
- A mechanical, biomedical engineering degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
- 4+ years' product development experience in the medical device industry or a similarly complex engineering environment.
- Proven experience delivering product development projects from concept through to implementation and release
- The ability to provide technical leadership and guide teams through complex technical challenges
