About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our Surgery division—a start-up-like environment dedicated to proving out new opportunities in the operating theatre.

 

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to apply a “fail fast, learn faster” mindset in order to test out new opportunities that can change clinical practice.

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to learn at pace, drive business growth and contribute to the overall success and expansion of our Surgery business.

 

About you

We are looking for someone who embraces a flexible, fast-paced, and hands-on approach in a startup environment.

 

You will also have:

  • Mechatronics, Mechanical or Bio medical engineering degree or related field
  • 3+ years design experience in medical device industry or a similarly engineering environment
  • The ability to design and build prototypes using tools and methods such as Creo, SolidWorks, 3D printing, machining and injection moulding
  • Experience with design processes, from capturing user needs through to manufacturing release
  • The ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities while maintaining focus on project objectives
  • The ability to resolve technical challenges associated with product and process
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • You’ll easily build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
  • A positive can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
