Product Development Engineer

About The Role

We have an amazing opportunity for a Product Development Engineer role to join our Team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to join an energetic team focused on delivering new products, while ensuring these products are as effective and successful as possible.

Our team has a stream of development projects into areas of the ventilation market and your involvement with these will enable further growth. You will be developing products for the developed and developing world with a focus on sustainability and usability.

Skills & Experience

You will be a sharp, mechanically minded, individual who is keen to grow their skills and confidence. You are self-confident with good communication skills and your ability to build new relationships helps you to talk to the right people, understand the possible problems, and develop the solution to deliver results. Your self-motivated, can-do attitude is what gets you noticed!  You are inquisitive and practical, and we encourage you to get your hands dirty, prototyping in metal and plastics and testing in our state-of-the-art labs. You will have a natural intellectual curiosity; you know that things don't always go to plan, so you are ready to use your initiative to trial alternative solutions until you get it right.

You have a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering qualification, or equivalent, and will have 2+ years’ experience with medical devices or a similarly regulated industry. You will have a base level in CAD skills along with an understanding of design for manufacture. You will be eager to work through all aspects of the product lifecycle, including injection moulding, metal prototyping and product testing all in collaboration with internal and external collaborators. A knowledge of relevant medical device regulatory standards and guidelines (e.g. FDA, ISO, MDR) would be advantageous but is not essential.
