Product Development Engineer, 820

We have an amazing opportunity for a Product Development Engineer role to join our Team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to join an energetic team focused on delivering new products, while ensuring these products are as effective and successful as possible.

Our team has a stream of development projects and your involvement with these will enable further growth. You will be developing products for the developed and developing world with a focus on sustainability and usability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including CAD design, injection moulding, metal prototyping and product testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Manage design controls for product development, including the creation and maintenance of project documentation e.g. traceability, risk management, FMEAs & ECNs.
  • Work closely with other product development and quality systems engineers to ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.

 

Skills & Experience  

 

  • Mechanical or Mechatronics degree or similar
  • 3 years experience in an R&D role (Medical Device industry would be preferred)
  • Understanding of Design Control and quality assurance
  • Understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
