Process Development Engineer L2
We are project based with fast turnaround; every day providing you with new challenges and variety within your role. A day in the life of a Process Development Engineer includes:
- Collaboration with product development teams to ensure process capability, design for manufacture and assembly.
- Engaging with operations engineers (who manage production lines), maintenance technicians, production staff, quality engineers and more. This collaborative approach help refine manufacturing line requirements & designs and ensures that your equipment design intent has been transferred to all stakeholders.
- Design, testing, design! See your interactive CAD designs come to life within our in-house prototyping labs using water jet cutters, CNC mills, CNC lathes, 3D printers, laser cutters, welders and more
- High quality external fabrication & wiring after which you assist with final assembly and commissioning, seeing your designs being rolled out into production as world class equipment.
- Along the way documentation plays a large part in ensuring that we send out safe products to patients around the world. From capturing your equipment performance through test reports & performance analysis, operating and technical manuals, through to quality risk control documentation ensuring that our equipment and products are safe.
Our Team
Our almost 100 strong Process Development team is responsible for the design, development & implementation of special purpose manufacturing lines to produce our products. Bespoke equipment ranges from manual insertion jigs to fully automated production lines with integrated testing platforms using state-of-the-art technologies.

About you
Are you a dynamic problem solver with an already established array of mechanical CAD design & analytical skills, wanting to further your career? We are looking for engineers to join our growing multi-disciplinary team that delivers world class manufacturing solutions.
You will have:
- A Mechanical / Mechatronics (or similar) degree
- Proficient at 3D CAD, with exposure to Solidworks being a plus
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Documentation & report writing skills essential
- Relationship building skills
- Effective presentation, oral, and written business communication skills
- Be comfortable working autonomously by managing own time and workload, as well as part of a high functioning team
- Exposure to mechanical equipment design, implementation, testing & validation very beneficial
- Detail orientated & highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst dealing with changing requirements

This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hour week) with a starting salary range of $85,000 - $90,000 The role is based in our Auckland office in Highbrook Drive in East Tamaki
