Process Development Engineer, OSA
About The Role
In this role, you'll be introducing the latest Obstructive Sleep Apnoea masks into production. This involves developing new mould tool specifications, working with toolmakers during the design, build and test phases before developing the moulding process and validating the production process.
You'll successfully provide troubleshooting expertise for tooling, thermoplastic & LSR injection moulding processes. You'll research, develop and implement new moulding technologies to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Collaboration and intellectual curiosity are important in this role. Other key skills are effective communication and the ability to build strong working relationships. Your results orientated approach will result in robust manufacturing solutions.
About you

A formal engineering qualification (ideally majoring in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Chemical & Materials)

0-3 years of work experience (ideally with skills which are transferrable or were learned in the medical manufacturing industry

Experience in injection moulding using a scientific moulding approach, mould tool specification and project management

Experience with moulding machine robot setup and troubleshooting

Familiarity with 3D CAD (ideally Solidworks or Creo)

Excellent problem-solving skills

Foundational knowledge of statistics

Competence with time management, prioritisation and working to deadlines

Proficiency in technical report writing – clear documentation is a key part of medical device manufacturing

Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft; Word, Excel)

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
