Operations Engineer
About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Engineer to join our Manufacturing Location Project Team - supporting the transfer of products and manufacturing processes to our China Operation.
In this role, you'll be responsible for driving Design Transfer activities, establishing manufacturing capability, and supporting projects that lead to successful manufacturing process and product release. Working closely with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams, you'll play a critical role in ensuring products are transferred efficiently, effectively, and with a strong focus on quality.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting Design Transfer activities from development into manufacturing:
- Creating and implementing manufacturing assembly processes
- Coordinating cross-functional project activities to ensure successful delivery of transfer milestones
- Developing manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process specifications
- Conducting process risk assessments, validation activities and manufacturing readiness reviews
- Supporting the introduction of new products, equipment and manufacturing processes
- Analysing production and quality data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives targeting safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders across functions and at all levels
About You
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys working across teams, managing complex projects, and turning ideas into robust manufacturing solutions.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Design Transfer or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
- Experience creating or implementing manufacturing processes
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence
