About the Opportunity:
As an Operations Engineer you'll be working closely with other functions of the business, so you are a great communicator and relationship builder. You are confident in your abilities, LEAN manufacturing and problem solving are key strengths and you feel comfortable liaising at all levels.
This role encompasses elements of production engineering, product development, process development, supplier development, quality, project management and procurement. You'll be exposed to various aspects of product lifecycle, becoming an integral member of our Operations Engineering Team by supporting and improving the manufacturing of our products. This involves collection and analysis of production and quality data to enable improvements to product design, production processes and capacity. You'll be heavily involved in day-to-day troubleshooting, process characterization and validation, continuous improvement activities and project implementation as well as working to design, develop, test, integrate, validate and maintain testing hardware and software systems used in production.
About you:
As this role is heavily influenced by internal and external parties, your ability to be flexible, demonstrate cross functional understanding and effectively communicate (written and verbal) is key.
You may be a recent Graduate or currently working as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or a Quality Engineer wanting to transition into Operations Engineering. The skills and experience you can bring include:
- BEng (or equivalent) - Mechatronics or Electronics, Computer and/or Software Engineering or equivalent
- An understanding of various programming concepts and architectures and the ability to adapt to a variety of programming languages. NI Labview, Ni Test Stand, #C, C++, SQL and Python would be advantageous.
- Experience working with a QMS
- 0-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Process design understanding
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles (PDCA, Value stream mapping, single-piece flow etc.)
- Project management
