Maintenance Technician

About the Role

In this important position, your primary role will be to carry out scheduled maintenance and to diagnoses and repair unscheduled stoppages in an efficient, timely manner, to support improvement programmes & to share your ideas on improvements in a large facilities environment. 

Ideally, we are looking for someone with a trade qualification in electrical along with building services, maintenance service delivery and facilities management experience. Time management plus great verbal and written communication. Computer skills are also required with knowledge in software applications such as MS apps and Outlook emails.

 

Skills and Experience

Experience maintaining & repairing automated equipment & holding one or more of the following:

  • NZ Electrical trade/engineering qualification or NZQA equivalent, with current EWRB registration.
  • Basic mechanical/HVAC trade knowledge.
  • Previous Mechanical and Electrical engineering experience
  • Computer skills (email, MS applications)

 

Communication skills combined with a strong customer focus are critical for this role. Attention to detail, the ability to be able to work autonomously when required, a methodical and practical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
