About the role 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team and play a key role in supporting our continued growth and expanding international presence. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day import and export operations, driving cost efficiency and logistics performance while adapting to an evolving business environment. You will leverage your expertise in freight management, ERP systems, and international supply chain logistics, alongside a strong focus on operational process improvement, to ensure seamless and effective global operations.

 

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end global import and export operations, including freight booking and tracking, and responding to logistics-related queries and freight quote requests from a broad range of stakeholders. Working across multiple geographies, you will oversee international freight movements by sea and air, coordinating with freight forwarders and managing direct shipping contracts to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery. The role also involves shipping documentation, freight forwarder KPI management, collaboration with global sales offices, and contributing to capacity planning and freight mode optimisation. You will work closely with planning, distribution, and DC teams supporting efficient and continuously improving global supply chain operations.

To be successful in this role, you will be a driven self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will also demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in international freight and logistics operations (air and sea), including import/export processes
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, cost control, and freight optimisation
  • Proficiency in TMS and ERP systems and confidence working with logistics data and systems
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-changing, global environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and international teams
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process efficiency
  • Proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in international freight and logistics
  • Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have logistics related degree or equivalent education background.
