Lead Systems Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join ICT Business Solutions Team.

About You

In this technical and diverse role you will gain experience in implementing systems that are integrated into business functions and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are efficiently built through expert analysis of customer needs. There will be a mix of commercial off-the-shelf systems (COTS), cloud-based solutions and backend infrastructure solutions such as Microsoft technologies, virtualisation infrastructure and databases.


To succeed in this role you will be able to actively contribute to the design and delivery of ICT infrastructure and COTS systems. Your analytical skills will be utilised in understanding your stakeholder requirements and identifying where there are opportunities for improvement. Having previous exposure to large scale business systems you will be able to effectively complete and manage documentation through the system development lifecycle (SDLC). You will be able to design, build and test systems to ensure risks are mitigated, the systems are validated and the business needs have been met.

Ideally you will already be a Senior Systems Engineer or have worked very closely with a similar team. You will have the knowledge, personality and communication skills to rapidly gain credibility and develop key relationships at all levels. You will be able to influence others through your business acumen and professional approach.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience implementing and supporting COTS solutions
  • Good understanding of business functions and processes
  • Good understanding of system development lifecycle(s) (SDLC) and processes
  • Familiar with risk management strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in one or more large-scale COTS: Dynamics, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, SAP
