Intermediate Software Engineer - .NET

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Informatics develop cloud solutions that work with our medical devices and are used by health professionals worldwide. These services assist them in monitoring patient progress, optimizing therapy, and identifying problems early. Are you interested in joining a team working on a global-scale IoT system?

 

This role:

We have opportunities for a Software Engineer to join our IoT team. You will be working on building the backend cloud services that communicate with our medical devices. You will be collaborating across the wider cloud and embedded teams, building highly available, scalable and efficient solutions connecting our products to the cloud.

 

You will bring sound coding skills, experience in building cloud services, problem solving and engineering thinking. You will have a drive to get things done. You will be intellectually curious and desire to understand the clinical application of the work you are doing, as well as the technology it’s built on.

We are looking for people with:

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Proficiency with C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API with good understanding of architectural principles
  • Good understanding of backend architecture
  • Experience in designing technical solutions and taking part in technical discussions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work with diverse teams

 

Other beneficial experience to have:

  • Good understanding in database technologies - SQL Server, Cosmos DB 
  • Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Containerization
  • Experience in web front-end framework, e.g. React
