Intermediate Engineer - Automation and Control

We are looking for an engineer to join our growing Process Development team that builds world class and globally recognised manufacturing equipment using industrial automation.


The role:

This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge of software and electrical hardware, ability to innovate, and positive attitude to solve real-world problems in the healthcare manufacturing space – while gaining important industry and professional skills working along-side experienced engineers as your mentors. As part of the role, you will:


  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to design manufacturing concepts
  • Collaborate with suppliers and your key stakeholders to deliver project milestones
  • Develop industrial software and electrical hardware systems
  • Perform hands-on commissioning, testing and validation of manufacturing equipment
  • Create and maintain technical and quality systems documentation

You have:

  • A Mechatronics/Electrical/Software Engineering (or similar) degree
  • 2-5 years’ experience working in the industrial automation and control engineering field
  • Proven experience with implementing PLC and HMI solutions within a manufacturing environment
  • Relationship building skills
  • Effective presentation, oral, and written business communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment is an advantage
  • Previous experience with extrusion processes, vision systems and safety systems are an advantage
