About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support our talented Intellectual Property team through their work with more than 550 development engineers, researchers and clinical scientists across the business.

 

The role requires someone who is capable of learning and performing a wide range of general office support/administration and intellectual property specific administration tasks including patent data entry, intellectual property file management and invoicing management. A high attention to detail and accuracy is a must to ensure our patent data is accurate, as well as a willingness to learn about intellectual property processes. The role is within an existing administration team and training will be provided.

 

About you

You will be a person who naturally keeps things neat and tidy, loves order and can check when things do not look right. Your organisational skills and proactive approach to anticipate needs will help the team succeed. You will be responsive and flexible in your approach with a sense of purpose that motivates you to get things right. You will recognise opportunities to improve processes and suggest changes to improve efficiencies.

Other skills required:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Positive outlook and willingness to learn and get the job done
  • Aptitude for Web based tools, databases and research will be an advantage
  • Experience working with Intellectual Property or Legal teams would be an advantage but is not mandatory
  • Experience in database, library or archive management would be an advantage but again is not mandatory
