Planning Analyst

We have a brand-new growth opportunity for a Planning Analyst to join our Strategy & Planning team in our ICT division. This team is responsible for managing and understanding the incoming funnel of business projects that ICT manage. This is a large and exciting portfolio of work, that will offer you plenty opportunity to learn and grow.


About the Role

A key responsibility for this role is to analyse and plan the incoming funnel of projects received from the business. Having a good understanding of the problem we are trying to solve will ensure that each project is appropriately framed for our delivery teams to pick-up and implement. This will require you to proactively engage with relevant parts of the business to facilitate the understanding of project scope and intended use where required.

Additionally, we expect that this role will assist with and lead business analysis activities for projects internal to the Strategy & Planning team.


Key duties

  • Identify and manage business plan interdependencies and potential roadblocks
  • Assisting in development of the long-term Business Plan for ICT
  • Assist in developing resource and capacity plans, tools, and processes 
  • Manage the continuous and quarterly business planning cycle
  • Ensure the completion of the monthly and on-demand report preparation
  • Implement process improvements across key business planning procedures
  • Implement metrics across the business plan to ensure visibility of risk and progress
  • Formulating detailed user requirements and functional specifications


Skills and Experience

  • 3-4 years’ Business Analysis, Planning, or Project Management experience
  • Experience with PPM, Project and Planning tools is highly advantageous
  • Understanding of waterfall or v-model methodologies is highly advantageous
  • Capability with requirements and functional specification formulation is highly advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-direct where required
  • Superb relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
