Graduate Process Development Engineer
To help fulfil our vision, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare are looking for analytical, communicative and driven engineering graduates to build the future of the medical devices industry. As part of Process Development, you will join our team of 100 Engineers with varying skills and expertise. Through collaboration and ingenuity, we design and implement the process solutions and manufacturing lines that bring our products to life. Our Engineers work alongside other mechanical, moulding and control engineers to develop and implement purpose-built manufacturing solutions.
Some of the tasks your role may include are:
- Collaboration with product development teams to ensure process capability and design for manufacture.
- Engaging with operations engineers and production stakeholders to refine process requirements & designs.
- For Mechanical Process Development Engineers: Design, prototype, test and commission assembly processes. This can range from manual assembly jigs through to automated process solutions. Prove out your CAD designs and see them through to operational production solutions.
- For Moulding Process Development Engineers: Engaging with toolmakers to develop injection mould tools, providing detailed specifications and collaborating on the design. Get hands on with commissioning and optimization of moulding and supporting processes as you prepare them to be rolled out into high volume production.
- Bring your ideas to reality using water jet cutters, CNC mills, CNC lathes, 3D printers, laser cutters, welders and more and prove them out in our in-house state of the art testing and commissioning labs and prototyping facilities.
- Documentation plays an important part in ensuring that we are manufacturing quality medical devices. From capturing equipment performance through testing & analysis, creating operating and technical manuals and ensuring quality through our risk management systems.
If you are a dynamic problem solver with a Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical and Materials or similar engineering degree and are looking to grow within an autonomous and collaborative multi-disciplinary work environment, put your application forward and take the first step towards building your career with us.
