Facilities Attendant

Our Recycling Team is vital in keeping our modern premises looking great. We have a fantasic opportunity for a motivated and reliable Facilities Attendant to join our Day Shift team, working Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

 

About the Opportunity

In this hands-on role, you’ll be part of a dedicated team responsible for collecting landfill and recycling waste from designated areas and transporting it to our on-site recycling hubs. From there, materials are processed and prepared for collection by external recycling partners for further recycling helping divert valuable resources from the waste stream.

 

You’ll also operate a range of equipment including:

  • Forklifts (counterbalance)
  • Pallet jacks
  • Balers
  • Elevated Work Platforms (for cleaning at heights)
  • Water blasting tools and other commercial cleaning equipment

 

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys being part of a supportive, multicultural team.

 

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • A forklift licence (advantageous)
  • Experience using machinery such as balers, pallet jacks, and commercial cleaning equipment
  • Previous experience in waste removal, recycling, or industrial cleaning
  • Cleaning-related qualifications and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • A strong commitment to health and safety practices
