Facilities Attendant
Day Shift: 6.00am to 2.30pm
Recycling team is vital in keeping our modern premises looking great. We have a fantastic opportunity for a facilities attendant to join our Day Shift team.
About the role
In this busy role, you will be part of a team responsible for collecting landfill and recycling waste from designated areas and bring them back to the recycling hubs where these are processed before being collected by recycling companies for further recycling. This role is vital in diverting recyclable materials from the waste stream.
You will also be involved in using counterbalance (forklifts), pallet jacks, balers, EWP cleaning at heights, water blasting and other cleaning and recycling tasks.
This is a great opportunity for someone with good eye for detail, willing to learn and take ownership of their work. You will be a part of a multicultural, very dedicated supporting team.
Successful applicants will have the following attributes:
• Full NZ license
• Forklift license would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in using machinery such as balers, pallet jacks, commercial cleaning and recycling equipment is essential.
• Waste removal or recycling experience would be an advantage.
• Cleaning related qualifications with experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• A good level of fitness is required to carry out the duties of the role.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping position is essential.
• Ensure safety measures are adhered to during waste sorting operations. Respond to incidents and emergencies as directed by Team Leader.
