Digital Learning Designer - Creative Specialist

About the role

At Fisher & Paykel Healthcare we understand the life-changing impact that can result from delivering inspired and world-leading healthcare solutions, it’s what we do every day.  Our 50-year heritage began in Auckland, New Zealand with three people, a can-do attitude and a prototype humidifier made from a modest fruit preserving jar. This initial device became a full range of products and therapies for both the hospital and the home affecting more than 16 million patients around the world each year.

One of the key components driving this success has been our fundamental belief in the power of education. Our Sales and Customer Education Team are seeking an experienced digital learning designer to conceptualize, develop and deliver digital learning solutions that drive clinical change in line with our sales strategy.

You are collaborative, creative, pragmatic, organized and results focused. You are an excellent communicator, who keeps people on-track and informed, and work effectively with a diverse range of global contributors including internal and external stakeholders. Your understanding of evidenced-based learning principles will guide the creation of learning material as you strive to understand, dissect, and simplify complex concepts for your audience.

We are looking for an individual who has the experience, but more importantly the curiosity and drive, to join our team and advance the way education is delivered to our sales force and customers.

The skills and experience you bring will be most or all of:

  • Strong written and visual communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • At least two years' experience in digital learning, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualification in education or related discipline would be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing requirements.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • The ability to demonstrate a good understanding of learning principles and methodologies.
  • Intermediate skill level with e-learning authoring tools e.g., using Articulate 360
  • Intermediate skill level with graphics and video editing e.g., using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic skill level working with SCORM, HTML and APIs that support learning technology.
  • Experience working in the L&D or user experience space; for example, a previous role conducting learning needs analyses, storyboarding and end to end development of a learning experience for salespeople or customers, would be preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

What do our employees enjoy about working for us?

  • We are the head office of a global healthcare company creating learning solutions for our global sales force and customers.
  • Being part of a growing business that impacts the health and well-being of people all around the world.
