  • Looking to continue to build on and develop your Cyber Security career in a large, global New Zealand business, this could be a great opportunity for you

Fisher and Paykel Healthcare is a world leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of medical devices and export to over 125 countries globally - we develop products that help people, and we are proud of it.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to develop their Cyber Security career further as an Analyst in our team.

About the Role

In this role you will work alongside other members of the team to shine the torch on ‘evil’ by investigating alerts, reports from our people, and your own proactive analysis of what you and the team are observing. You’ll have the chance to see how what you do is helping to improve the lives and wellbeing of the patients we treat.

If your detail oriented, think outside the box, and have a burning obsession with needing to know ‘why’ then this could be for you.

Primarily this role will be working on triaging and investigating alerts and suspicious activity and then identifying ways you can contribute to increasing our defences. This will involve working with the team, effected people throughout the organisation, and the wider info-sec community to understand and respond to the every changing threat landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helping to develop and increase employee awareness and education.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate security controls are in place and effective.
  • Identify, and recommend policies, procedures and technologies to continuously improve our ability to protect our organisation, customers and patients.
  • Provide Security Risk Management advise and expertise in order to prioritise and manage risk.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of what’s going on around the world and in the organisation to quickly and accurately assess potential threats.

About You

You will be a motivated, self-starting, passionate person who has a strong desire to build a career in cyber security. When you see something that seems out of the ordinary you will investigate and understand if there is more to it and similar events. You will be confident to interact with stakeholders at all levels and be motivated to share your knowledge across the business. You should be someone who keeps up to date and current with security trends and threats and able to think quickly and analytically.
