Cost Accountant

An excellent opportunity for a CA-qualified accountant seeking exposure to a large New Zealand organisation with a strong global presence. A great role to further develop and broaden your cost accounting experience.
In this role, you will work closely with multiple departments across the Respiratory, Acute Care, and Homecare divisions. Your focus will be on understanding manufacturing performance, including detailed analysis of manufacturing variances and overheads. You will partner with the Operations team to gain insight into processes and systems, helping improve the accuracy of product costing and supporting meaningful business improvements.
We are looking for someone who believes in continuous improvement and is motivated to add value on an ongoing basis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be building effective working relationships across teams. A self-driven mindset, keen attention to detail, and a curious approach to problem-solving will set you up for success in this role.
Ideally, you will bring:
• An Accounting degree, with CA/CPA/CIMA qualification preferred
• A minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Management or Cost Accounting role
• Strong Excel capability and proven experience in product costing and analysis
• Relevant SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Experience building or working with Power BI reports would be a plus
