About the opportunity

 

We are looking for a professional to join our Rest of World – International Sales department as a Commercial Analyst. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to provide commercial insights and inform business decisions and provide information and outputs that improve businesses processes and help drive sustainable growth and profitability.

 

This position based in our global head office in East Tamaki and will report into our Head of Commercial and Financial Operations for Rest of World.

 

The Rest of World unit is comprised of 8 international sales offices, which vary in size and level of sophistication. In addition, we support export markets working through 3rd party distributors.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the department and prioritize business drivers.
  • Conduct screening, onboarding and due diligence checking of new offshore distribution partners in our 3rd party sales channels.
  • Oversee our trade credit insurance program and manage associated risks.
  • Support and coordinate business continuity for ROW.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and risks.

 

The ideal candidate does not need experience with the responsibilities listed, however you will be come with an open-mind and high level of curiosity.

 

About you

 

To succeed in this role, you will need to be proactive with strong communication skills and a positive outlook. By being in a growing business unit, you are looking for a long-term position that will give you experiences to grow alongside the business.

 

Your business acumen and international experience will enable you to manage compliance and drive improvements across the department.

 

Other key skills and experience we are looking for include:

 

  • 4+ years accounting experience, or post-graduate degree in business.
  • High levels of curiosity and desire to understand the business and how you can add value for the long-term.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. The ‘5 Whys’ should be your default mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise messages.
  • Ability to influence and enhance business processes.
  • Knowledge of the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare business, product groups and systems would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Multinational commercial exposure and experience working within a global organisation is critical.
