Cloud Engineer - Informatics

This role

We have an opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join our team.

We'll expect you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Azure cloud experience - 2 - 3 years of experience in implementing, supporting, administering, and monitoring Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS environments
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining logging and monitoring systems
  • AKS or Kubernetes experience in implementing, supporting, administering, and monitoring containerized environments
  • Strong knowledge of virtual machines, compute, storage, network components, including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements
  • Strong knowledge in network design incl. CIDR, VPN, WAF, DNS
  • An understanding of vulnerabilities and security in cloud environments
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • It's great, but not required to have:
  • Experience with maintaining on-prem and cloud-based Splunk instances including ingestion, search and dashboards
  • Understanding of source control systems such as Azure DevOps or Git
