About the opportunity
We have two exciting opportunity for a clinical research professional to join the Infant Care Division of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare at either a Clinical Research Associate or Clinical Research Scientist level. Joining our team will allow you to have a global impact on improving the care and outcomes of the smallest patients in the hospital.
We are looking for an exceptional people who can support a dynamic clinical affairs portfolio within the neonatal respiratory team. The role has a global reach and involves all aspects of clinical affairs relating to a range of medical devices. Key responsibilities will include:
- Clinical input into product development
- Managing pre-market clinical investigations
- Clinical evaluation and synthesis of clinical data to support regulatory submissions
- Risk management and post-market activities
- Creation of clinical education and marketing materials to support our global sales teams and customers
- Delivering education and training to a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the clinical message is clear and easily understood
- Scientific liaison with our F&P clinical and product specialists in the field
- Scientific liaison with international clinical experts and research collaborators
About you
Essential skills and experience for the role include:
- Post graduate or higher level degree in the health sciences field
- Sound knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Good understanding of ICH/GCP and the ethical principles relevant to conducting medical device investigations in vulnerable populations
- Transferable technical skills relevant to working with and developing medical devices
- Excellent medical writing and science communication skills, including presenting to diverse audiences
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to a variety of goals and priorities
The ideal candidates will also have:
- 1 - 4 years experience supporting clinical research in a healthcare environment
- A proven track record in building professional relationships and a network of collaborators
- Experience conducting systematic literature reviews and synthesizing evidence into in depth clinical reports
- A good understanding of the US and European regulatory environment with regards to medical devices
