About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical professional with a passion for education to join the Infant Care Division of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. In this role, you will have a global impact—helping to improve care and outcomes for some of the most vulnerable patients in the hospital: newborns and infants.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead a dynamic clinical portfolio with a strong clinical education focus, supporting a range of innovative medical devices. The role has global reach and spans multiple aspects of clinical affairs, working closely with research and development, field-based clinical specialists, and international clinical experts.
This position is ideally suited to a clinician (particularly from a paediatric or neonatal nursing background) who enjoys translating evidence and complex clinical concepts into meaningful, practical education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of clinical education and training to ensure clear, accurate, and consistent clinical messaging
- Partner with subject matter experts to create education for a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a structured global clinical education programme for sales teams and customers
- Lead internal clinical education initiatives for research and development teams
- Drive alignment between:
- Research and Development teams
- Fisher & Paykel Healthcare clinical specialists in the field
- International clinical experts and key opinion leaders
- Provide direct clinical input into product development activities
- Support pre-market clinical investigations
- Contribute to the synthesis of clinical evidence to support regulatory submissions (e.g. systematic literature reviews)
- Support risk management and post-market clinical activities
About you
- Postgraduate qualification in Health Sciences or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience supporting clinical practice change through education, training, or clinical research in a healthcare environment
- Sound knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Good understanding of ICH/GCP and ethical principles for conducting medical device investigations, particularly in vulnerable populations
- Transferable technical skills relevant to working with and contributing to medical device development
- Strong science and clinical communication skills, including presenting to diverse audiences
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and goals
Desirable Experience
- Real-world clinical experience, ideally as a paediatric or neonatal nurse, or within physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, or allied health
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships and collaborative networks
- Experience conducting systematic literature reviews and synthesising evidence into in-depth clinical reports
- Understanding of the US and European medical device regulatory environments
