About The Role

 

Due to an internal move, an opportunity presents to join our Group Risk Advisory team as a Business Risk Partner.

 

Our Business Risk Partners are trusted advisors that support internal customers across the organisation with robust, objective insights needed to enhance decision making. Reporting to the GM of Group Risk Advisory & HSW, you’ll build relationships on trust and simplify and articulate complexities with teams and senior leaders involved.

 

This is a unique opportunity to develop a holistic view of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and gain a greater understanding of how our business units think and work. You'll interact with a wide variety of teams, including R&D, operations, sales, supply chain, ICT, sustainability and management including the Executive leadership team. This role is broad and varied, with no two days being the same and you will need to be comfortable managing a range of different projects at any one time.

 

You will also:

  • Collaborate with a wide range of internal customers to assist with understanding and analysing uncertainty for strategic, project, operations and financial decision-making.
  • Manage discussions and run risk analyses such as macro/industry analysis, product group strategy analyses, business impact analysis, new product development project analysis and long-term strategy sensitivity analysis.
  • Learn about how the business works, behavioural psychology, decision science and risk advisory.
  • Develop risk analysis methodologies and assist with the ongoing development of business risk analysis techniques.
  • Develop clear and concise reports, graphics and presentations of analysis results that deliver value and insights to your internal customers.
  • Assist in the continued development of global business continuity and our crisis management programme.
  • Assist with the continued development of the business risk framework which is centred on improving decision making in the face of uncertainty.

Skills and experience will include:

  • An ability to build trust and to work collaboratively across the organisation, including at the senior leadership level.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead discussions.
  • Project management skills and the capacity to manage competing priorities.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and an understanding, or experience with, quantitative risk analysis (e.g. Monte Carlo simulation) is advantageous.
  • An ability to work both autonomously and in a team together with a proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • A tertiary qualification, with a preference for a professional / post-graduate qualification and an understanding of statistics and behavioural economics.
  • Previous experience in Research and Development environment is a plus.
