AI Enablement Specialist

Help people across Fisher & Paykel Healthcare use Artificial Intelligence (AI) confidently, responsibly and creatively to improve how work gets done.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an AI Enablement Specialist to join ICT Data. Acting as a bridge between business teams and technology, you will help people explore, understand, and gain value from general-purpose AI tools. You will work with teams to identify practical opportunities, support the development of useful AI-enabled ways of working, and help people build confidence using these tools safely and effectively in their day-to-day work.

This role will suit someone who enjoys learning by doing, experimenting with new tools, and turning what they learn into simple, practical guidance for others. You will be comfortable talking with people across the business, asking good questions, testing ideas, and helping teams understand where AI can genuinely make work easier, faster or better.

Our Team

ICT Business Solutions is Fisher & Paykel Healthcare's team focused on the core business systems, delivery practices and specialist applications that help our people work effectively. ERP, project planning, software development and engineering systems all sit within this area, giving the team a broad view of how technology supports business processes and enables change across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with teams to identify, assess and implement AI use cases that improve productivity, knowledge access, decision-making or ways of working.
  • Support the adoption and enablement of approved enterprise AI tools across the organisation, working with ICT Business Partners and other teams to build practical AI capability.
  • Help prepare and deliver practical demonstrations, office hours, learning sessions and workshops for a range of roles and experience levels.
  • Create and maintain clear guidance, playbooks, FAQs, prompt examples and reusable patterns based on practical use of AI tools.
  • Help coordinate AI Key Users and contribute to an active community of practice.
  • Work with ICT AI service partners to help shape AI use cases that may require enterprise platforms, shared data capabilities or solutions beyond general-purpose AI tools.
  • Give people a clear-eyed view of what these tools are great at, where they fall over, and how to check the output before trusting it.
  • Support effective use of AI in analytics and enterprise knowledge tools (e.g. Power BI Copilot) by translating technical and data prerequisites into practical guidance.
  • Partner with governance, security, privacy, legal and technology teams to support safe and responsible adoption.
  • Keep learning about new AI capabilities, test what is useful in practice, and share clear observations about what is worth adopting and what should be treated with caution.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting the adoption of digital, AI, analytics or productivity technologies in a business environment.
  • Strong hands-on capability with generative AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
  • Good facilitation, presentation, written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities, risks and limitations into clear, practical guidance for non-technical users.
  • Ability to understand business problems and help identify practical AI-enabled improvements, with a focus on useful outcomes.
  • A curious, hands-on approach to learning new technology and understanding how it can be applied in real work.
  • Ability to build relationships and work well with people across roles, functions and levels of seniority.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, information security, privacy and data governance principles (advantageous).
  • Understanding of Power BI, analytics platforms and the role of data quality in AI-assisted experiences (advantageous).
  • Business analysis or project management experience (advantageous).
