Area Manager - International Sales

About the role
With over 50 years of successful business, our objective is to continue expanding our international presence and generate sustainable long-term growth, therefore an opportunity has come available to support our international markets as an Area Manager.  Based in Auckland and reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work with F&P Distributors and the end user to help understand the customer needs, generate demand for the products/therapy and ultimately help grow the business.

The responsibilities of an Area Manager include managing sales revenue in existing markets, implementing the F&P global strategy by expanding sales into new areas of hospitals and the home with new and existing technology, and working with our distribution partners to develop targeted market specific activities.


Essential aspects of the role will also include:

  • International travel to achieve strategic goals
  • Understand and be able to articulate & present respiratory therapies
  • Management of the relationship with international distribution sales teams
  • Building relationships with our customers and the end user
  • Growing existing channels with existing and new products
  • Developing knowledge of key customers, regulations and channels within markets
  • Maintain the CRM and meet our customers’ needs


About you
To succeed in this position, you will need experience in leading a sales team as well as excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills. Your ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers will also be essential. Applicants with an understanding of the medical device and consumable industry will be viewed favorably.


Desirable knowledge, skills and experience:

  • The ability to demonstrate and succeed in relationship building
  • The ability to work in a team and to communicate technical and often complex ideas effectively
  • Previous International sales and sales management experience
  • The ability to sell technically advanced clinical solutions to hospitals
  • Previous success in a complex and technically advanced field
  • Results driven
  • An outgoing and positive attitude
